On stage fright and cramps

So yesterday I was in a play. Written by Tony Baltierra and directed by Nick Tousseau, rehearsal was a blast. Jared and I were "married" in the play, and that was hilariously awesome. I loved the play.

However, I had forgotten just how badly I get stage fright.

and when i say bad, I mean BAD!

I walked up to the stand and my hands went numb. And I don't mean sweaty or anything, I mean full on pins and needles.

then the top of my face went numb. As in pins and needles again.

my part calls for me to be in labor and doing breathing exercises. So I almost hyperventilated.

Everyone said I was hilarious, though. And that no one thought I was nervous except for Allen, who was convinced I was having a hypoglycemic attack on stage and was trying to prevent himself from running on stage.

But everyone said I was wonderful.

I'm not sure if it was worth it.

So today I woke up with the DEMON CRAMPS FROM HELL!!!

Most influential students in my college life

Noel Mariano:  From the first week of college he's been encouraging.  Saying my work was good for my age.  Encouraging me.  Showing me ways I can improve.  Never has someone been more supportive of me, all the time.

Brian Oglesby:  You're always good at cheering me up.  I don't know why, but once you see me you're good at making me feel good about myself.  You're an amazing playwrite and director, and I hope that I can one day be as good as you are.

A bit of history today at work

I walked into the door the same time as Dawn. She was carrying a small pillowcase.

"Wanna see a bit of history?"

The web team all crowds into the the small kitchen, which has the biggest table of the office. She takes out two pieces of flat, bright red cloth.

They were two, nazi germany flags. With signatures all around the swastikas. Turns out that Dawn's grandfather was in the US army during WWII and these were some flags that his unit signed after liberating the towns. They've been in a pillowcase in Dawn's grandmother's attic since then. They were only brought out when Dawn's daughter asked her greatgrandmother if she had anything she could show for history class.

Of one year, sicknesses, and alcohol in high altitudes

Tuesday was Allen and I's one year anniversary. One year. One whole, freaking year. I pretty much can't believe it. In that year we have had:
  • countless dates
  • lots of movies
  • a five day break up
  • lots of religious debates
  • one summer
  • late nights after rehearsals
  • a couple of almost camping trips
  • long car rides
And an amazing one year anniversary date.

He picked me up, wearing a suit and holding a dozen orange roses. I was wearing my little black dress. While waiting for him I got compliments from Rinata, Di-ke, and Yuri. I felt like a princess.

He then drove me to the valet parking at mission inn. I've never had valet parking before. Then we crossed the street and went to a restaurant called "Mario's Place"

It was amazing. I got Butternut squash ravioli in a herb butter cream sauce with shitakke mushrooms. And wine that was a combination of three different types of grapes. It was amazing. Allen was able to recommend it, which amazes me to no end. We stayed there for hours, just talking.

Then we went back to his apartment and he pulled out two movies, saying I had a choice. We could watch Iron man, which was our first date, or the Original Battlestar Galactica movie, for we bonded over watching bsg. We watched bsg.

Anyways, it seems like everyone has been sick. Mr. Price had pneumonia. Allen had my sore throat cold thing. Dominique had the sore throat cold thing. Then Alexa's not able to hold down water. And she has to perform tonight. I really really hope she gets better.

And then Steve. Earlier today Steve told me that he had a sharp stomach pain, and was going home to go to the doctors. Then at about 2 today, I got the text: "Well fuck me. Probably going to the hospital." Turns out he probably has appendicitis. I mean, what the heck is with everyone getting sick!

Oh, for mothers day, I got my mom champaign for a present, and we had it while camping. It took about a cup and a half to get me drunk. Oh lovely.

Random thoughts that happen to me at work

YAY POPTARTS AGAIN!

So I'm writing the website for Events Management. And they want me to write about stuff they do. Except I don't have that information.

I have to figure out a 25 word summary for my play. No clue.

Starbucks or Smoothies, Starbucks or Smoothies....

My screenplay is turning out to be structured like a video game. Including minibosses and castles and cross-dressing female warriors.

Smoothies it is. Yay buy one get one free stuff.

I got an A on my annotated bibliography. The teacher was talking in class about how some people's stuff was not applicable. He said that blogs weren't good. Neither were comments on blogs. Neither was "Rotten Tomatoes" or IMDB or Wikipedia.

WOW the extension has bad grammar.

It's my dad's birthday today. I'm not entirely sure how old he is.

I asked my mom, she said 55.

My first rehearsal for the play i am in is tonight

Allen's play is tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing it, I'm looking forwards more to having him free at nights again.

Chianti cake

Ross brought Dark Chocolate Cherry Chianti Cake. with boiled down Cherry Chianti sauce.

OMG amazing.

Monkey/Vegetable

So my work day started off with me having to hole punch paper. But it could only have two hole punches, not three, of course. Three would be just plain unprofessional.

Then Ross just came up to me, sent me to a website, then told me to redo it before the end of my shift tomorrow.

Awesome.

Update

I got an A on my paper and I got an A on my midterm for journalism.  So awesome.

I'm over my sickness, now it's onto Allen.  That means we can't do the rock band concert.

Evan rapped for his birthday.  So hilarious.
